Ryan Madamba is a rising name in the Philippine fashion industry.

Known for his preference with classic and sophisticated aesthetic: his made-to-order women’s wear are in timeless silhouettes that are figure flattering with signature details such as textured appliqués and clever placing of brooches or beadwork that make his works both modern and fad encompassing; while his men’s wear are fitted well and a reminiscent of the tailored look of the old English society with updated detailing all in fine combination of suitable materials both in make and color.

Specializing in evening wear and wedding gowns, his client base has grown through good word of mouth from satisfied customers and has extended to other occasion and fashion related needs such as bridal accessories including personalized pillows, cords, headdress, candles and men’s tailored casual attires.

June Ryan Ascencion Angeles Madamba widely known as Ryan Madamba was born June 3, 1984 and grew up in the Northern Philippine province of Ilocos Norte. Initially geared towards a career in law and politics, his design sensibilities were honed at a young age by his exposure to his father’s keen eye for details in carpentry through a family owned furniture shop along with his mother’s sense of color combination and style.

It likewise helped that he was surrounded with resources such as books and magazines; and the perfect combination of nature and architecture in the pottery making district of San Nicolas where the Madamba family hail from, and the old Castilian city of Vigan. After summers spent in Metro Manila, he moved to the country’s capital as he studied Philosophy and Human Resource at the San Beda College, Manila.

Consecutively, he worked in the growing BPO industry and worked his way up until he left his flourishing corporate career to establish his growing fashion business.

His entry to the fashion industry came in by accident: when he as the better illustrator, used to collaborate with his sister who jump started designing clothes and giveaways along with event styling in Ilocos Norte. Acknowledging that his evolving skills resulted to better products – his sister, cousins and close family friends commissioned him to design dresses for special occasions.

Still hesitant to pursue a career in fashion, his creative abilities were sidelined until August of 2008 – when he created the wedding gown and entourage dresses for Iris Ilagan – Monterde, a close family friend – and good word of mouth resulted to more customers.

Currently, he is simultaneously working for another company as a corporate man, a designer and sole head of his emerging fashion house – wherein both learning from the two industries are complementing his growing body of work.

Backed by hands-on training and his natural eye for design and construction, Ryan Madamba is now set to fulfill what he would call a Divine gift to be used in the fashion industry and work with a talent that ultimately desires to give honor and glory to God.
