Judy Uson Cakes

Judy Uson Cakes – Without the cake, the art would be worthy of its own exhibit. Without the art, the cake would still be absolutely delicious.

My cakes are designed to enthrall and delight. They are works of art, rich in detail and beautifully crafted. My sugar flowers are my signature and are acclaimed in the Philippines and worldwide.

CREATIVE BEGINNINGS

My career as a cake designer began in 2003. While having been involved in event management and video production for almost 12 years, I had longed for new challenges and a different outlet to express my creativity. Putting my academic background (UP Fine Arts Class ’91) and instinctive talents in the kitchen to good use, I decided to try my hand at creating cakes for special occasions. Inspired and encouraged by what I discovered I could do, I took a short course in cake decorating to home my skills and the rest, I learned on my own. Since then, every new cake design requested has become an exciting creative adventure for me.

BRINGING SUGAR TO LIFE

Today in the Philippines, The Cake Artist is proudly known for beautifully sculpted sugar flowers that look so deceivingly real they are often mistaken for fresh blooms. Each flower is patiently hand-formed and colored petal by petal. Someone once described my work as being “so botanically correct” and “amazingly life-like, you’d have to touch them to believe they’re actually made from sugar”. And the great thing is, the cake also tastes as good as it looks!

As The Cake Artist, I would love to collaborate with you to transform your vision into a reality — the cake of your dreams come true for the most eventful day of your life. Look through my gallery (www.thecakeartist.ph) and I hope you’ll be inspired to imagine what we could do together. We can create cakes for different themes and personalities — from elegant to romantic… classical to whimsical.

Let’s create the cake of your dreams for your most special day.
